Scans
"Created in Italy
by Edizioni Panini S.P.A. - Modena" as the text
on the inside back cover says. The Voltron Sticker
Book came out in 1984 and was around (to get the
stickers) for about a year in my area. They did have
a place to send out for the stickers you lacked, but
I never did. Oh well . . . Anyhow, packs of stickers
came in sets of 10 randomly packed images and cost a
whopping 35 cents! Now a days you can't buy a pack of
trading cards for less than $2 (US).
Each page came in
either pink or blue (alternately - page 1 pink, 2 - 3
blue, 4 - 5 pink, and so on) with some drawn images
on each. The squares for the stickers had been laid
out with the numbers both on the area for the sticker
as well as the bottom line which told the story to go
with the images. You will find some of the drawn
images from the pages in the main list as well as all
of the images I have and an example of a blank and a
filled square. And, as you will see, I really had no
eye for placement when it came to laying down
stickers. Some of the angles left alot to be desired
(lol).
The sticker book
consisted of images from the first six episodes of
what I termed the New Lions, or the last 20 episodes
of the Voltron Lion series (those came after the
Land, Sea and Air Voltron.) These episodes had titles
listed so I had an idea of what names they had,
though I had thought it the imagination or view of
the company Figurine Panini who put out the sticker
book. I used them to title my tapes and found out
much later that they indeed had been the correct
titles. . . .silly me :)
The following images
are scans from individual leftover cards and the ones
I had already placed in the book. Any images that are
not here that were included in the book means either
I didn't have the sticker or the scanner refused to
co operate and give me 16 million colors instead of
the 16 colors it wanted (sometimes I hate
technology!) The images are from the first 6 episodes
of what I call the New Lions, or the set of episodes
after the initial 52.
Please do not take any
of these images to use on your sites unless you ask
me first. These took time and effort to get just
right so if you really want to use them, please ask
me first. I am a very reasonable person. . . .really.
Some of the pics are
rather large so please be paitent while they load.
Thanks. The average size of the individual cards are
1.75" x 2.25" and the multi card sets are
double or four times that . . .
